Funeral services were held Monday for Will Servies, 87, of Knoxville, Tenn., a native of Montgomery County, who died Saturday at his home in Knoxville. Burial was also in Knoxville. Mr. Servies was the brother of Rev. John R. Servies of Crawfordsville. He was born 3 1/2 miles southeast of New Market, the son of John A. and Catherine Peters Servies. He was reared in Montgomery County and moved to Tennessee after his marriage to the former Mandy Krust. Mr. Servies was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister, Mrs. Lillie Booker of Crawfordsville, who died here Feb. 14 of this year. Survivors include the widow; a son, James of Tennessee; a daughter, Ivan, of Tennessee, and several grandchildren. Other survivors include Rev. Servies; another brother, Charles of Noblesville; four sisters, Mrs. Georgia Abernathy of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Frances High of Hot Springs, Ark., Mrs. Winifred Rawson of Potomac Heights, Md., and Mrs. Mary Buchan of Penrose, N.C., and several nieces and nephews.
